Team Liquid, Tundra Esports and Betboom team won their matches Tuesday to leave the group phase at PGL Wallachia Season 4 event in Bucharest, Romania.
Liquid swept Team Tidebound while Tundra and Betboom each published 2-1 wins against Team Falcons and Aurora Gaming respectively.
Liquid, Tundra and Betboom joined the former playoffs Qualifer Team Spirit and Parivision, with the last three places to be set on Wednesday.
The $ 1 million Dota tournament started with 16 teams in a modified Swiss group phase format with the playoffs with double elimination that runs until April 27.
All matches in the group step are the best of three. The eight best teams move on to the playoffs, and the lower eight are eliminated. Playoffs is Thursday to Sunday, with all matches best-of-three except for the big finals, which is the best out of five.
Liquid defeated Tidebound in 35 minutes and 50 minutes, both on green. Falcons opened with a 73-minute victory on Red but Tundra responded with a 37-minute victory on Red and a 28-minute victory at Green. Betboom dressed a 39-minute victory on Red and a 42-minute victory on Green around Aurora’s 45-minute victory on Red.
In Tuesday’s matches that made 1-2 teams, the Navi Junior Nigma Galaxy, Xtreme Gaming Sope Shopify Rebellion and heroic defeated Edge 2-1. The losing law was eliminated.
