Bantamweight song Yadong won a technical decision on the former UFC-two division champion Henry Cejudo at UFC 313 on Saturday night in Seattle.

Yadong (22-8-1 MMA, 11-3-1 UFC) Poked Cejudo (16-5, 10-5) in the left eye by mistake near the end of round 3 in the scheduled five-round main event, mainly a striking fight. After Cejudo used his assigned five minutes of recovery time, he stopped the round without any problems.

Between turns, Cejudo expressed his inability to see. Given where the struggle was, round 4 was short before Judge Jason Herzog stopped the action.

Yadong arrived on the judges’ results cards for the three completed rounds, 29-28, 29-28, 30-27.

He was a emphatic apology against Cejudo after the decision was awarded, which proposed a re -match to earn his rightful conclusion.

“Let’s drive it back,” Yadong said. “I learned a lot from this struggle.”

Cejudo confirmed that he had trouble looking out of his left eye after the poken, which made the stop justified.

“I couldn’t see from left (eye),” said Cejudo. “I wanted to continue, but if I can’t see it will hurt me.”

Cejudo added that he would like to force Yadong’s request for rematch.

“We can drive it back, 100 percent,” Cejudo said. “That finger went in the eye pretty well.”

Yadong has won three of his last four fights. Cejudo has dropped three in a row, which includes a loss to the current bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili.

A gripping heavy Co-Main event saw average weight Anthony Hernandez (14-2 MMA) overcome Brendan Allen (24-7 MMA) to win with unanimous decision 29-28 on three results cards to increase its divisional bar to seven. Hernandez also made UFC history and exceeded Chris Weidman for most removals in advertising history by 41.

Allen has now lost two in a row after winning seven straight fights from February 2022 to April 2024.

Rob Font screamed out a divided decision against Jean Matsumoto in a 140 pound catching weight of two of three judges’ results cards: 29-28, 28-29, 29-28. The font congratulated Matsumoto on a hard -fighting attack when both men put on a striking clinic.

The font (22-8 MMA) has won two in a row, while Matsumoto (16-1 MMA) went in at short notice by replacing the former UFC Bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz, who eventually retired shortly thereafter.

Spring weight Jean Silva needed 4:15 of the opening round to end Melsik Baghdasaryan by TKO and earned its fourth straight UFC victory. Silva (15-2 MMA) called out colleague Bryce Mitchell (17-4 MMA) for a potential future struggle.

At the same time, Baghdasaryan (8-3 MMA) has lost two of its last three, and still sought a victory for the first time since a unanimous decision victory against Tucker Lutz (12-4 MMA) last July last year.

The UFC Seattle head card was opened with Alonzo Menifield who canceled the UFC debutant and ex-College Basketball player Julius Walker in a back and forth competition. Menifeld (16-5-1 MMA) handed over Walker (6-1 MMA) his first loss and received a split decision 29-28, 30-27, 28-29.
