The defensive tackle Jonathan Allen has been granted permission from the Washington commanders to apply for a trade, several stores reported Tuesday.

Allen, a twice Pro Bowl-Surval, was Washington’s first election (17th overall) in the 2017 NFL draft.

He enters the last season of a four-year, $ 72 million contract, and Washington would save $ 16.3 million in CAP space if he is traded or released before June 1.

Allen, 30, has played 109 matches (108 starts) in his service with Washington. He has 401 career tackles, 42 bags and 118 quarterback hits.

He was limited to nine matches in 2024 due to a broken left pectoral muscle.
