2025 SA SAG AWARDS has been packed, and if there is one thing on Sunday evening, it is that this award season is far from predictable. What started as a night to celebrate Hollywood’s finest was quickly turned into a gaming exchange for some of the industry’s biggest challengers.
ConclaveA gripping thriller about the choice of a new pope, drew a surprise win for best ensemble in a movie -not up its latest BAFTA triumph and officially cemented itself as a big Oscar threat. At the same time, Timothée chalamet anesthetized the audience by knocking out Adrien Brody for best actors and throwing a wrench in what many thought was a two -horse race for the Academy Awards.
His acceptance speech was as bold as his profit, with A complete unknown Star that explains, “We are in a subjective company, but the truth is that I really strive for greatness.” He elaborated and resembled his artistic inspirations with legends not only in film, but in sports: “I know people usually don’t talk that way, but I want to be one of the greats. I am inspired by the greats. I am inspired by the greats here tonight. I am equally inspired by Daniel Day-Lewis, Marlon Brando and Viola Davis, who I am by Michael Jordan, Michael Phelps, and I want to be up there. “
The TV categories saw their own part of shaking. Sh? GunThe sweeping historical epic set in feudal Japan, continued its dominance and took home four victories – including best ensemble in a drama series and actor for Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai.
