Big Ten announced Wednesday that Northwestern Women’s Basketball Team has been evaluated lost losses to fourth ranked Southern California and No. 2 UCLA, games that were postponed due to the fire fires in Los Angeles last month.
Northwestern, which falls to 9-19 (2-15 Big Ten), postponed his trip to Los Angeles due to fires that ravaged the area at that time. Wildcats were scheduled to play UCLA on January 12 and the Trojans on January 15.
Big Ten announced that these games would not exist, with Northwestern who took the losses “per conference rules.” The losses drop northwest to the 16th Big Ten position; Only the 15 best teams are invited to the conference tournament. Northwestern’s last game is Sunday at home against Nebraska (18-10, 9-8).
Other sporting events were moved away from LA during the fires, including a Los Angeles Rams finals and one PGA Tour event. It is unclear if attempts were made to change places for Northwestern’s two matches in LA
USC improves to 26-2 (16-1); UCLA is now 27-1 (15-1). The team will fight against the regular seasonal title on Saturday at UCLA.
