James Harden scored 30 points and Amir Coffee added 20 to lead six players in double numbers and lift the visiting Los Angeles Clippers to a victory 122-117 against Chicago Bulls on Wednesday.
Kawhi Leonard scored 17 points for Clippers and Derrick Jones Jr. Had 16 when Los Angeles stopped a three-game skid. Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 14 points, and Ivica Zubac had a double double out of 10 points and 10 returns.
Harden overcame 1-for-5 shooting during the first half and scored 27 points after interruption. Leonard returned to the lineup after missing the last two games with the left foot’s tenderness.
Chicago never led after Josh Gidee’s Trey put the hosts forward 85-83 with 4:39 left in the third quarter. Clippers scored 19 of the next 27 points.
Bulls pulled within two points on a Kevin Huerter arrangement with 4:14 left but could not regain the lead.
Coby White missed an attempt at a Trey bond with 36 seconds left before the Harden is the result with a Pullup 3 point with 14 seconds to go.
Chicago has lost seven out of eight.
Giddey had 21 points and 12 assists while Zach Collins also registered a double double double, which contributed 21 points and 17 returns.
White added 19 points while three Jones (16), Lonzo Ball (15) and Huerter (13) followed.
The Clippers opened the second quarter on a 13-6 run to take the lead 44-32, but Chicago stayed away. A Jones who runs with 3:55 to play before the break gave Bulls a 50-49 advantage, and they regained the lead that went to half time, 60-59.
Strong ball movement drove Chicago in the beginning. Bulls had 20 assists on 25 first half -field goals while they committed only three sales. Collins led all scorers with 16 points at the break. Coffee paced clippers with 14.
Norman Powell remained for Clippers with left patellar tendinopathy. Nikola Vucevic (right calf density), Ayo Dosunmu (left shoulder) and Patrick Williams (right quad bike) missed the game for the bulls.
Los Angeles received a division of the season series after losing 13 points at home on January 20. Clippers have won seven of the last 11 meetings.
