Kevin Denkey made a brilliant through the ball in the 19th minute to give FC Cincinnati a 1-1-o-made to visit Motagua and complete the host’s 5-2 total victory in the first round of the Concacaf Champions Cup.
FC Cincinnati won the first part of the two-game, the total goal series 4-1 in Honduras last week.
The orange and blue progress towards Mexico’s Tigres Uanl in the round of 16 next month.
Motagua tried to get back in the series when Rodrigo Auzmendi hit a nearby volley from a cross from Jonathan Nunez in the ninth minute.
Ten minutes later, Cincinnatis Corey Baird dried from Midway Line through the center of the Motagua defense and then rolled a pass to Denkey, which entered the 18-yard box. Denkey hit a right -footed shot in the lower right corner.
