Federal Trade Commission Drawing Request for MGM Cyberattack Information | Casinos and games

The Federal Trade Commission’s dispute with MGM Resorts International to provide information about 2023’s costly cyberattack against the company can come to a resolution.

FTC has told MGM that they are planning to withdraw their civilian investigation needs regarding the incident that cost the company estimated $ 100 million and hugged the company’s resort operations for nine days in September 2023.

In a letter with two Tuesday from FTC chairman Andrew Ferguson to Brian Boyle, a member of MGM’s Washington-based legal team, the federal agency said it withdraws its demand, known as a CID.

A copy of the letter was provided to review-journal by MGM.

CID, which was issued on January 25, 2024, stimulated a civil trial of MGM against FTC in April.

It is unclear why FTC turned the course on CID.

This is a developing story. Come back for updates.
