Oklahoma City Thunder has been led during much of this season of their defense.
Thunder has been on top of the NBA in defensive rating but is only 22 in the category since the All-Star break.
However, Oklahoma City has won five of her six matches since the break is largely due to his crime on the way into Monday night’s competition against the visiting Houston Rockets.
Thunder is on average 133 points in the last six games.
“You have to perform in such a way that good shots present themselves on a possession,” said coach Mark Daigneult. “That’s what really happens right now is that we are running at a high level, which is a cumulative effect of all our basic factors.”
Oklahoma City comes from a victory 146-132 at San Antonio on Sunday evening.
Thunder’s previous season high in points as points was 144, and the 132 points allowed were also a season high.
Oklahoma City has won three games in a row since its last home competition, a breakdown of a loss February 24 against Minnesota. Thunder led very early in that game and then fell on overtime.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams have been led Oklahoma City all season and comes from their best combined game of the season.
Williams got a career pile of 41 points while Gilgeous-Alexander added 31, neither committed a turnover.
Monday’s gaming figures are a challenge for Thunder’s crime; Rockets are fourth in the NBA in defensive rating at 109.4.
Houston coach Ime Udoka was frustrated by his defense in Saturday’s loss 113-103 to Sacramento, especially, especially on its team that bites pump capture and pick-and-roll-coverage.
Oklahoma City figures to attack both of these areas on Monday, especially with how Gilgeous-Alexander has attacked the basket too late.
“Can’t show it more than we did,” Udoka said. “Indiscipline.”
While the thunderstorm could be somewhat brief – Chet Holmgren missed Sunday’s play with a left ankle destruction and Isaiah Joe was out with lower rear wounds – Houston could be even thinner Monday.
Rockets’ Fred Vanvleet returned in Saturday’s loss after missing a month with an ankle damage. However, he is out on Monday’s game after adjusting the damage to the kings.
Five other players who played in Saturday’s game – Steven Adams (left ankle), Dillon Brooks (right knee), Tari Eason (left lower leg), the Alperen Sengun (lower back) and Amen Thompson (right shoulder) – listed as doubtful for Monday’s game.
Rockets made a Roster move on Sunday, waived Cody Zeller and signed Nate Williams to a four-year, $ 8.2 million standard agreement.
Monday’s competition will be more open by a three-game road trip for Rockets, which is in fifth place in the Western Conference.
For Oklahoma City, the game will start a distance where the team will play four out of five races at home after playing six out of seven on the road.
