Buffalo Bills released veteran points Sam Martin on Thursday with one year left on his contract.
Martin, 35, spent the last three seasons the bills, and in 2024 he was an average of 46.7 meters per point with a long 65 meter, five touchbacks (9.3 percent of 54 points) with 25 inside the opponents’ 20-yard line (46.3 percent).
Martin played 50 games with regular season and seven games after the Buffalo season. He had six points for an average of 49.3 farms in three playoffs 2024.
Detroit Lions chose Martin in the fifth round of the NFL draft 2013. Martin has played for Lions (2013-19), Denver Broncos (2020-21) and Bills and on average 46.2 meters per point (long of 72), with four points blocked by 755 kicked in 189 matches.
