The goals are plentiful for blues in victory over struggling ducks

Dylan Holloway and the Jake neighbors each had a goal and an assist when St. Louis Blues rolled past the visiting Anaheim Ducks 7-2 on Sunday.

Blues won their 10th straight match against Ducks and improved to 9-2-2 in total in their last 13 games.

Brayden Schen, Pavel Buchnevich, Radek Faksa, Mathieu Joseph and Oskar Sundqvist also did for St. Louis. Jordan Kyrou received three assists and Justin Faulk had two.

Cutter Gauthier had a goal and an assist, Nikita Nesterenko scored and Mason Mctavish received two assists for the ducks, which lost for the fifth time in seven games.

Lukas Dostal allowed five goals on 14 shots for two periods for Anaheim before Hustso wanted to replace him.

After being honored in pregame ceremonies for passing the milestone at 1,000 games, Schen made 41 seconds into the match. Holloway cut to the middle of the ice and slid a pass to Schen at the right post.

Just 49 seconds later it made it 2-0. The neighbors rushed up the left wing and set up the redirection of Buchnevich.

St. Louis took a three-goal lead with a Power-Play goal at the 8:19 brand in the second period. Faulk created Holloway’s disposable blast from the right face-off dot.

Anaheim lowered the lead to 3-1 less than two minutes later. Radko Gudas shot from the right point and Gauthier converted rebound.

Blues made 4-1 with 4:21 left in the second period. Nathan Walker spade the puck in the fold and Faksa got stuck in the net.

Joseph made it 5-1 by competing up the right wing for a short-handed goal less than 3 minutes later.

Anaheim lowered the lead to 5-2 early third period. Mctavish shot from the right wall and Nesterenko diverted it in. But Blues drove their lead to 7-2 with power play from neighbors and Sundqvist.
