Global Gold radio has this week announced an exciting new slate of programs and presenters that will be joining the much-loved station in 2025!
Launch on Monday (January 6) at 07.00 on Global Player and DAB+ Radio/TV, as well as online at GoldRadio.com, the network’s new schedule will see Kirsty Gallacher present the brand new Gold Radio Drive with Kirsty Gallacherand James Bassam hosted by Gold Radio Breakfast with James Bassam.
Bassam’s show will include Gold Radio Hall of Fame from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., celebrating listeners’ favorite songs. James will also host a new weekend show, Sundays from 8am to 12pm.
“I am delighted to be joining the iconic Gold Radio to present a new weekday programme,” said broadcaster Gallagher via a global press release ahead of the launch of her new show. “I love the buzz of live radio and can’t wait to be part of an exciting new team, playing the best classics of all time and getting to know Gold Radio’s loyal listeners, as well as attracting some new recruits.”

No stranger to rousing the nation, the hugely popular celebrity chef, author, presenter and music fan Simon Rimmer joins Gold’s new team of presenters and will front the station’s Saturday morning program (from 8am to 12am) in addition to co-presenting Channel 4’s Sunday brunch.
“Hosting my own radio show is a dream come true, and doing it on Gold Radio is the icing on the cake,” says Simon. “Saturday mornings will feel like going through my personal music collection, and not only that, I’ll get to enjoy and share it with Gold Radio listeners. It will hardly feel like work!”
