Giada Restaurant to stay at the New Vanderpump Hotel for now | Issue

The lemon pagettin stays in the picture. At least for now.

When Word showed up last week that the Cromwell Hotel at the strip would be the Vanderpump Hotel, in collaboration with the restaurateur and reality -TV star Lisa Vanderpump, many Las Vegas Restaurant Watkers immediately wondered: How about Giada?

The restaurant, from the famous chef and culinary personality Giada de Laurentiis, marked its 10th anniversary on top of the property last fall with, among others, the chef who demonstrates signature coils of lemon paghetti.

The restaurant and its election site, on East Flamingo Road and The Boulevard, where Formula One is roaring by, is easily the most distinct aspect of Cromwell, a property without a distinct brand.

The announcement of the Vanderpump Hotel said that the restaurateur would update the reception, reception and the casino floor; introduce a new lounge; And redesign all rooms and suites. The announcement also said that the hotel would contain furniture designed specifically for the project by Vanderpump’s design company.

A room of your own? Or not.

But not mention of Giada Restaurant.

Vanderpump has already opened four Vegas places with Caesars Entertainment: Vanderpump Cocktail Garden in Caesars Palace, Vanderpump à Paris in Paris Las Vegas, Wolf by Vanderpump on Harveys Lake Tahoe and New Pinky’s by Vanderpump in Flamingo.

Wouldn’t Vanderpump want to replace Giada with its own restaurant concept, especially at a hotel with the Vanderpump name? It is a fair question to ask.

On the question, a representative of Caesar’s highlights in the announcement summarized and then said: “No other changes are planned right now.”

Which suggests that early plans require Giada to stay. And perhaps contractual arrangements with Caesars prevent Giada from being replaced at all, at least directly. Or maybe it will just turn into a speakeasy, for Vegas doesn’t have enough them, right?

Who knew that lemon spaghetti could be so exciting?
