Guardians RHP Tanner Biblee signs five -year agreement plus club options

Cleveland Guardians signed right -wing trader Tanner Biblee to a five -year agreement with a club option for 2030 on Saturday.

Economic conditions were not announced by the team, but Athletic reports that the deal is worth at least $ 48 million.

BIBEE is reportedly scheduled to earn $ 21 million in 2029. He would do the same 2030 if Guardians takes up the option and increases the value to $ 68 million. There is a purchase of $ 1 million.

The length of the agreement buys all of the Berge’s arbitration on arbitration.

Biblee will reportedly earn $ 3 million in salary this season and receive a $ 2 million signing bonus.

BIBEE, 26, is scheduled to make their first career opening day start on Thursday when Guardians visit Kansas City Royals.

Biblee is 22-12 with a 3.25 era in 56 starts during two large league seasons.

He was the runner for the American league beginner 2023 this year’s ballot when he went 10-4 with a 2.98 era and 141 strikes in 142 rounds over 25 starts.

Last season, Bibee was 12-8 with a 3.47 era with 187 strikes in 173 2/3 rounds over 31 starts. He was 0-1 with a 3.45 era in four starts after the season.

BIBEE was a fifth round in the draft by 2021. He hit college for Cal State Fullerton.
