When Los Angeles Dodgers reaches Rarified Air for a defending World Series champion, Atlanta Braves is left to judge everything that has gone wrong when the team will meet in the final of their three-game series on Wednesday.
Dodgers put together his seventh victory in a row to start the season in 2025 as they increased the visitors Brave’s 3-1 on Tuesday. Atlanta is 0-6 to start the season for its worst opening to a schedule since they were 0-9 2016.
Los Angeles continues to overcome the obstacles in the beginning. Freddie Freeman was out Tuesday for the fourth time in seven matches, and yet Dodgers won again. Freeman missed two matches early in the schedule with Rib Soreness and has been out in the last two games with an ankle.
On Tuesday, they had right hand Dustin May who started their first start for two seasons, while Braves had Cy Young winner Chris Sale at Haugen. And yet Dodgers pulled the victory when May allowed only one hit and an unmistakable driving and Mookie Betts met a leading home run in the sixth round.
Betts warned to be too self -satisfied.
“It’s a really long season,” Betts said. “Team goes through distances like this. It is really important for us to just keep our heads down, one inning at a time, in the same way we have done.”
It is a simpler philosophy to have when you know twice the Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell (1-0, 3.60 era) will be on the hill Wednesday while the team is looking for their eighth victory in a row.
Snell is 0-2 lifetime against Braves with a 2.95 era in four starts.
“I think we just do a really good job of just recovering and getting ready for the next day,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said about his club, which matched the New York Yankees in 1933 for the best start to a season as a defending World Series champion.
Atlanta will change its rotation by sending the right hand Bryce Elder to Haugen for his debut 2025. Elder takes the rotation site for the right hand Reynaldo Lopez, which is on its way to arthroscopic surgery on the shoulder after a start this season.
Elder, who was 2-5 with a 6.52 era starts last season, is 0-1 lifetime against Dodgers with a 5.28 era in three starts.
With Ronald Acuna Jr. And Sean Murphy on the injured list, and Jurickson Proar Out on an 80-game Ped suspension, Braves has only received two combined runs in the last four matches. They only had three meetings Tuesday and four on Monday after being a hit by San Diego Padres on Sunday.
“I can’t explain it,” said Brave Manager Brian Snitker according to Atlanta Journal Constitution. “… I’m sure they are pushing. It’s human nature to squeeze when everyone wants to be the guy.”
Atlanta’s lonely driving Tuesday was unprocessed on a bet that throws wrong. The team’s only earned drive in the last four matches came Monday at a home run from Michael Harris II.
After Minnesota Twins and Milwaukee Brewers each won the game Tuesday, Braves remains the only MLB team without a victory this season.
