The Columbus crew ends a deal to acquire midfielder Daniel Gaz Day from Philadelphia Union, several media reported Wednesday.
It is not immediately known what the union will receive in return for Gaz Day, which has two goals and two assists in six matches this season.
Gaz Day, 29, led the Union with 17 goals last season and has 59 to go with 20 assists during his 125 career matches (115 starts) with Philadelphia since joining the club from Hungary’s Honved. He made MLS Best XI 2022.
Gaz Day, who is one of three designated players on the Union list, plays on the last guaranteed year of its contract. Philadelphia has a team option for 2026.
