New York Giants made some headlines on Monday night when reports appeared that they would hold a private workout with the Colorado Quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
Giants has the total election # 3 of the NFL draft, and many members of the National Football Media Universe suggested that New York could make a certain last minute before round 1.
But it seems that, outside Giants, Sanders NFL draft to layer slides. Albert Breer reported that he does not expect Cleveland Browns or Giants to prepare him at No. 2 or No. 3.
Then on Tuesday, Giants was released via NFL Networks Ian Rapoport that they are hosted for last minute meetings with lots of QBs. Louisville’s Tyler Shough and Alabamas Jalen Milroe also work for Giants.
So Giants do homework on what they will do with their second round, no. 34 in total, right?
Penn State Abdul Carter has been the popular option for Giants in Mock Drafts published this week. New York has spent a lot of resources on its defensive line through the draft, and after signing Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston in free agency, they seem quite unlikely to prepare a quarterback at that place.
At this stage in the NFL draft of the process, it would feel like a surprise if the giants chose to work out someone except Carter or Heisman winner Travi’s Hunter in their first round. Despite what some can report, they have to see a quarterback in the second round, right?
For starters, there is no way they forward potential all -world talents in Carter and Hunter. But even more important, they added two slightly respected free agent veterans just last month. Wilson has won a super bowl. Winston set franchise that passed a record for Browns last season.
But both of these quarterbacks come with their listed deficiencies, which is why they are both on short -term offers. This is also why you could see Giants take Sanders, a safe, something NFL-Redo quarterback that has incredible accuracy and an intangible aura. Or you could see them develop and develop a player like Milroe, who has incredible upside.
If these quarterbacks glide as far as some may think, the giants can certainly work out their franchise signal dial in the second round while acquiring the best defensive line person in this class in a case.
