Playoff-bound kings hang on to win over the Crake

Rookie Samuel Helenius did twice and Alex Turcotte and Adrian Kempe had a goal and a help piece when Los Angeles Kings was defeating the Seattle Kraken 6-5 value on Tuesday.

Alex Turcotte and Warren Foegele also spoke and Kevin Fiala and Vladislav Gavrikov had two assists per piece for the kings (48-24-9, 105 points), which will unpack the regular season Thursday against the visiting Calgary. Los Angeles then opens the playoffs with a series against Edmonton Oilers.

King’s goalkeeper David Rittich made 29 rescues, including stopping a first period of penalty by Chandler Stephenson.

Tye Kartye, Brandon Montour, Jaden Schwartz, Matty Beniers and Eeli Tolvanen made for the Kraken (35-41-6, 81 points), whose season ended. Joey Daccord stopped 18 out of 24 shots.

Kings broke a 2-2 tie at 16:05 of the second period. Foegele took a pass from Phillip Danault to the left side of the net and muscles a backhander inside the remote post.

Los Angeles did it 4-2 at 17:17, as Daccord made a spreading rescue on a shot of Fiala before Laferriere hit the rebound and chipped the puck over the prone goalkeeper from the top of the fold.

Laferriere’s goal came just seconds after Seattles Mikey Eyssimont hit the left post with a Lacross-style shot behind the net.

Kempe made a wrist shot of 1:41 of the third, and Helenius finished the run of four consecutive goals at 2:38 to make it 6-2.

Schwartz scored his team -leading 26th goal for the Kraken at 5:12 and Benier converted to a Power Play at 13:34. The twelve lowered the deficit to one at 19:30, but Seattle could not equalize.

The kings were surpassed 11-5 during the first period but took a 2-0 lead.

Helenius opened the score 15:14 and redirected a shot of Gavrikov past Daccord. Turcotte was made in 2-0 on a Power Play at 16:23 and tipped in Kempe’s shot.

The Kraken tied it at 2-2 during the second period. Kartye scored on a short -handed interruption down the right wing at 5:26 and Montour tied it on a blast from the blue line with a man advantage of 13:24.
