Casey Mize endured a little bad luck in her first loss this season. Detroit Tiger’s right dealer will seek a better result against the visiting Kansas City Royals in its fourth start on Saturday afternoon.

Mize allowed only one run in total in its first two starts, then gave up four runs and seven hits in 5 2/3 rounds against Minnesota Twins on Sunday. Byron Buxton and Edouard Julien hit Solo Homers by him, but the other two runs came on a hit with eyes and a field error.

“It really wasn’t my best,” Mize said. “But I feel that I was just a few things that went from the excursion that looks a little different. But still I made some mistakes I want back. All in all, I feel that if I do what I did (Sunday) over 30 starts, the result will be better more than not.”

Mize did not allow a walk for the first time this season because the twins took an aggressive attitude.

“They just swung, so I threw lots of strikes,” Mize said. “It didn’t feel like there were many deep bills, even, where I could extend the zone. I just threw things in the zone more than not, and they continued to play it. I will take it if they give it to me, but it will lead to them finding holes every now and then.”

Detroit -Manager Aj Hinch had a similar time on Mize’s excursion.

“They chipped him a little,” he said. “They got some opportunistic hits and stopped working their way through the game and get him away.”

Mize has made ten career starts against Royals and published a 2-2 record and 5.32 era.

His high opponent, Seth Lugo, has lit against the tigers and logged a 3-0 record with a 2.45 era in four career starts.

Lugo (1-2, 3.86 era) became victims of the long ball in his last outing. The right hand handed Solo-Homers to Jazz Chisholm Jr., Trent Grisham, Ben Rice and Austin Wells in a 4-1 loss to the New York Yankees. Three of the long balls came in the fifth round.

“I thought I threw the ball okay,” Lugo said. “I thought I changed speeds pretty well. I made a couple of mistakes and they didn’t miss them. But I felt I made a pretty good adaptation to that inning and I could keep them out of balance. You know, it’s one of the games where the little mistakes cost us great time.”

Kansas City has lost five straight, including the first two games in the current four-game series. The tigers gathered a victory 7-3 on Friday with the help of a two-run double of Spencer Torkelson, which has run in five runs in the series.

Royals have received 10 runs during its losing line.

“We come here to win every day, and these are the expectations we have as a team,” Kansas City Second Baseman/appointed Hitter Michael Massey. “Of course we don’t do that right now. It’s been a tough trip.”
