Austin Wynns had a home run, five singles and drove in six runs and Noelvi Marte had a Grand Slam as one of his five hits and ended with seven RBI when Cincinnati Reds ripped host Baltimore Orioles 24-2 in Sunday afternoon series Finale.
Austin Hays delivered four hits and got four runs, and the Elly de la Cruz hammered when the Red won for the second time in the three-game series. Each start in Cincinnati’s range had at least one hit.
The reds were in a little bond that went into the game with available jugs for long stints, but Brent Suter was the starter and gave up unmatched driving for three rounds.
When Ian Gibaut went to Haugen at the bottom of the fourth, the reds held a lead of 10-1. Taylor Rogers (1-0) was the winner with an inning of work and Randall Wynne was awarded a rescue with three rounds.
Charlie Morton (0-5) remains without victory in five starts for Orioles. He was scaled in seven runs in 2 1/3 rounds, handed over seven hits and released four walks.
It did not go much better for Cody Potet, who was first out of the bull, in his Orioles and the season’s great debut. He gave up five runs in 2 2/3 rounds.
Cincinnati got several runs in six different rounds, topped by seven runs in third and five in eighth.
Despite the large driving in total, they had red eight extra bashits, even though they drew 11 walks to go with 25 total hits. Tj Friedl shouted a triple, and Hays, Marte and Spencer Steer all had doubles. Gavin Lux made four runs.
Wynns ran in runs in the second, third and fourth round of singles.
Through seven rounds, they were the Red 11-For-19 with runners in points mode.
At the eighth round, Baltimore Infielder had Jorge Mateo on Haugen. Marte’s Grand Slam came by Mateo.
Adley the slide met a solo -female in eighth for Baltimore.
