Los Angeles Angels got the type of news that no team wants to hear, especially this early season.

The angels got a big loss on Friday when they placed hard-putting right hand Ben Joyce on the 15-day damaged list of inflammation in his throwing debt.

The move is retroactive until Wednesday, when Joyce experienced a certain reduced speed on his quick ball during his performance against the Tampa Bay beams.

“We have no idea the length, but we will surely back him up and let him rest and we will know more when we continue to see where it goes,” said Angels -Manager Ron Washington.

“It’s a big blow to lose him,” Washington said about Joyce, who is 1-0 with a 6.23 era in five performances so far this season.

The angels called right-handed pitcher Michael Darrell-Hicks from Triple-A Salt Lake to fill Joyce’s guard position.
