Los Angeles Angels signed the other Baseman Nicky Lopez on Tuesday.

It is one year, $ 850,000 large league contracts, the team announced. Lopez will be part of the squad’s opening day list.

The six-year veteran is best known for its four-plus seasons with Kansas City Royals. In 2021 he had a career year, Batting .300 and Stjal 22 bases.

After a 25-match run with Atlanta Braves in 2023, the Lopez 2024 season with Chicago White Sox spent. In 124 matches he recorded a home race, 21 RBI and five stolen bases with one .241/.312/.294 Batting line.

Lopez, 30, spent spring training with Chicago Cubs. In nine matches he published a blowing .450/.542/.550 line but was released last week.

The veteran provides flexibility to Angels’ Infield, which handles damage to Zach Neto (Axel) and Yoan Moncada (thumb). Lopez has logged significant time at the second base and card stops during his career.

Still, Lopez’s role is still unclear. The angels have lots of infield options that fight for playing time, including newcomers Tim Anderson and Kevin Newman, previously second round Kyren Paris and productive toolman Luis Rengifo.
