A top manager who monitors several properties on the strip, including one of Las Vegas Boulevard’s most well -known and successful casino note, calls it a career after more than three decades with the same company.
Ann Hoff, President and Chief Manager for Bellagio and Park MGM Hotel casino, retires from April 25, according to two separate internal memos shared with Review-Journal. Hoff has been to MGM Resorts International, the parent company to both Bellagio and Park MGM, since June 1990.
“It is difficult to exaggerate the contributions that Ann has made to the company during her long career,” Corey Sanders, MGM Resort International Coo, wrote in a memo. “She is proof of what is possible to achieve at MGM Resorts, and her career has been an inspiration for so many of our colleagues who have followed her.”
Hoff, an UNLV degree, began with MGM as part of the company’s Management Associate Program in 1990. She has held various positions within MGM and worked on various properties either at present or earlier in Gaming Giant’s huge casino portfolio, including Stints on Mirage, Treasure Island, New York, Excalibur and Bea and Bea, Excalibur.
In a memo to employees on the two properties she manages, Hoff said she made the “difficult decision” to retire after “a lot of reflection.”
“Leaving is really not easy,” Hoff wrote. “The relationships I have built are some of the most meaningful in my life and this company has been my second home.”
Memos written by Hoff and Sanders are both dated March 6.
On Friday, Hoff told Review-Journal that she is “deeply grateful for a career that fulfilled my lifetime love for hospitality. As she repeated the tough choice she made, Hoff said that she “looks forward to continuing my board service and experiencing new adventures in the next chapter.”
MGM has not said who will replace Hoff when she retires. A spokesman for the company said she will remain in her current roles until her effective pension date.
