Best Sports Game Selection Today: College Basketball Preferences for Feb 25

At this time of year, College Basket becomes the most exciting game in town. There are several excellent games on the dock Tuesday, and a few as “Best bets for Tuesday 25 February.”

Best bets Feb 25: NCAAM

Florida towards Georgia

Florida Gators have been on their way even though they did not catch many breaks. They will take a six-match winning line in tonight’s competition against Georgia Bulldogs (16-11, 4-10). The only game they didn’t win with double-digit in that route was a nine-point victory over then no. 1 Auburn.

But what really makes that route impressive is that they have had to deal with four different players missing. Alex Condon has missed three matches but is expected to return against Georgia.

Florida will be the sixth ranked team Georgia has met in seven matches, including Florida (January 25, 89-59). The bulldogs have lost all sex. However, the bulldogs played their best at home and lost to Auburn of two and Mississippi State by one.

But they lost their last home game by 10 to Missouri.

Florida is the better team by far in this game, and they happen to play good basketball right now. Georgia has posted a solid fight at home, but Florida beat them with 30 points not so long ago. The game may be closer to this time, but not so close that the streets cannot cover a 7.5-point spread.

Our choice: Florida -7.5

Duke against Miami

Since their surprising loss to Clemson, Duke Blue Devils (24-3, 15-1) has been flying through the competition. They followed the loss to Clemson with a 21-point victory over Cal, a 36-point victory over Stanford, an 18-point victory over Virginia, and no later than a 43-point victory over Illinois.

They were easily expected to win each game and did it. But doing as much as some teams do in a whole game in each half against Illinois (54 and 56), a team that was in the top 25 not so long ago? It’s impressive.

Miami (6-21, 2-14) has, on the other hand, struggled all season. Duke crushed them in mid-January, 89-54, in a game where Blue Devils were 23.5-points home favorites. Miami’s crime is not terrible (74.6 points per match, no. 163 in the country), but their defense is terrible (79.7 ppg allowed, no. 315).

It is a large spread to cover in a road game, but Duke’s crime clicks right now. It has received 50-plus points in three of the last six halves played by the team. Miami has struggled to make 60-plus in his last three matches.

Tennessee vs. LSU

The volunteers (22-5, 9-5) enter tonight’s road game against Tigers on a pile after Saturday’s 77-69 victory over then. 7 Texas A&M at College Station. Chaz Lanier led the way for Tennessee with 30 points after shooting 10-AV-18 from the floor, including 8-AV-13 from 3-point interval.

That victory was voluntary fifth in six matches and third against a ranked team.

The season has definitely been different for Tigers (14-13, 3-11). But while the tigers have lost two of their last 10, they have won two of their last three. But they lost their last match, 79-65, to then no. 2 Florida.

Tennessee is playing too well right now to fall into an unfortunate team like tigers. If you want to bet the spread, I would lean on taking Tennessee to cover. But I think LSU could play enough at home to keep the score within 10, even if my confidence is low on that call.

It is uncertain whether Tennessee can cover, but we are convinced that the volunteers will win with LSU points just enough for the end result to cross the sum.
