Best Sports Game Selection Today: College Basketball Preferences for February 7

With Super Bowl 59 on Sunday, Bettors has kept sports books busy leading to the big game. But while football fans may not agree, Super Bowl is not the only game in town. There are several excellent basketball games on deck, and some have made our best bets for Friday 7 February.

Best bets February 7: NCAAB

VCU against Dayton

On paper, Dayton looks like it should be the favorite to win the A-10, but after a rough January (4-4) they are not. On the other hand, VCU has been one of the best teams at the conference (8-2) with a solid crime (no. 78) and one of the best defense in the country (no. 12).

However, Dayton has been tough at home this season (13-1), while VCU has had some problems on the road (3-3). Flyers have won three in a row at home, but each one was a rather competitive game against some of the conference’s weaker team.

VCU is one of the best. They may not be the best on the road, but they do not have to be against Dayton.

Saint Louis vs. St. Joseph’s

I have seen a lot of people choose St. Joseph to win this game at home, but not a single explained how this game would be different from the last, where Saint Louis destroyed St. Joe’s 73-57.

It was the first of five losses to suffer in their next eight matches. Saint Louis continued to win five of his next eight. Both lost to the better team of the conference, IE, Dayton and VCU (Billikens also has a victory over VCU).

Also, good basketball is not playing right now, but Saint Louis is playing better. But their road problems are likely to help keep this closer than it should be. That being said, this is a game that Saint Louis should win. If you feel careful, take points (+5.5). But if you feel greedy …

Utah State vs. Fresno State

Aggies (20-3, 10-2) is one of the best teams in Mountain West; Fresno State is one of the worst (5-18, 1-11). Utah State will win this game, but the question is whether they will cover. They did not do a month ago (January 4), when they were 23.5-points favorites and won with six, 89-83.

Utah State underestimated the bulldogs in that game. They won’t make the same mistake twice.

Our choice: Utah State -13.5 (-110)

USC vs. Purdue

If the pattern holds, it can be a good day to get behind the Trojans and invest in winning. Why? USC has traded profits and losses for recent games. After the victory over Iowa on January 14, USC lost against Wisconsin, a game that they followed with a victory over Nebraska.

After hitting Huskers, USC lost to Ucla, Michigan State beat and then lost his last time on Tuesday. So if the pattern continues to hold, USC will beat Purdue. Yes, don’t count on that.

Boilermakers is one of the best teams in the country this season. Purdue is unbeaten at home and plays well on both ends of the court. USC’s crime is not talented enough to fight through the defense of Boilermakers and will probably not slow down the crimes of the Trojan (if not at all).
