Best Sports Game Selection Today: NBA All-Star Game, Daytona 500, College Basketball Games for February 16

Today’s version of our best betting list will strongly present all-Star events, but it happens more than the NBA All-Star game. (NHL’s star-loaded 4 nations face-off will be back on Monday). There is Daytona 500, a big basketball game for women and so much more.

I had included the last round of Genesis Invitational, but most available markets (if not everything) will close fairly early. Here is what makes our best bet list for Sunday 16 February.

Best bets: NCAA Women’s Basketball – Uconn on South Carolina

Uconn is the No. 7 team in the country. South Carolina, together with being the defending national champion, is the No. 4 team in the country. Huskies has no 2 points defense in the nation and a solid crime (no. 14). However, gamecocks are no slackers in the defensive end (no. 28) and can also set some points on the board (no. 13).

South Carolina owns a 71-game home card winning line. While UCONN is a solid candidate to end that drive, we expect these defensive Stalwarts to hold points.

Our choice: Under 135.5 on -112 (Draftkings)

Best bets: Daytona 500

The beauty of investing in Daytona is that everyone is literally a long shot for winning. Fanduel lists Kyle Larson as a game favorite of +1200. These odds give him a 7.69 percent chance of winning. If you saw these odds on a football match you would more than probably stay far away. But this guy is the favorite!

It says there are lots of guys who probably have value, which is who to direct here:

Chris Buescher +2100

I’m not sure what he opened on, but I saw that the odds would go from +2400 to +2800 and then back to +2100. He has won at Daytona before (in August 2023) and has had a solid history on this track. As long as his odds are longer than +2000, I would say he has value.

Austin Cindric +2400

He won Duel 2 at Daytona on Thursday, so we know he already has a good feeling for the track. Cindric has already won here and caught Daytona 500 2022, his first season as a full-time cup series driver and his eighth start in the top circle. So we know that the moment is not too big for him.

Like Buescher, as long as his odds stay longer than +2000, he is worth watching.

Best bets: NBA All-Star Game

Team Shaq (OGS) vs. Team Candace (Rising Stars)

I would be surprised if Shaq’s list of superstars let the rising stars think for a second that they have a shot to win this game. They will want to remind the young people that their time can come, but today belong to OGS.

Our choice: Team Shaq -6.5 on -118 (Draftkings)

Team Kenny (Young Stars) vs. Team Chuck (Global Stars)

I can expect that the more experienced team Chuck could take care of business against Team Kenny’s young stars. But it will be a much closer game than Shaq against Candace. It would not be shocking to see the young stars come out and shoot out an early lead.

The global stars will still get them into control at half time and pull away in the second half.
