Buffalo Bill’s offensive Lineman Tommy Doyle announced his pension from the NFL because of medical reasons.
Doyle, 26, played in 11 matches during his rookie season in 2021 and one to 2022.
He sustained several injuries during his career – especially a right ACL year during the beginning of the 2022 season and a severe leg injury in 2023. This season he handled nerve damage in his left leg.
“At this time, with the calendar and the healing process, it looks like it is permanent,” Doyle said on Friday about his nerve damage. “I just can’t play football at a high level, and it’s time. When you know you know.”
Doyle was chosen by the bills in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL draft.
