The CEO of a company in gaming equipment that previously served at Nevada Advokatkontor has been appointed head of Nevada Gaming Control Board.

Mike Dreitzer, CEO of Gaming Arts LLC, a privately owned Las Vegas-based supplier of gaming equipment that holds more than 150 gaming licenses, was appointed as the new board chairman by Gov. Joe Lombardo.

He will take the position June 23, the day after the current chairman Kirk Hendrick leaves.

Hendrick in January announced that he was planning to resign from the chairman’s role at the end of Nevada’s 2025 legislative session.

“Mike has a comprehensive background in compliance with games and provides decades of industry experience to the role,” Lombardo said. “I am convinced that Mike will lead the Nevada Gaming Control Board with privacy and honor, while promoting his latest innovation and progress.”

Dreitzer resigns from gaming art and will provide transition services until he can begin his role on the board. Merkur Gaming, who acquires the interests of the game art, expects to emerge for Nevada’s game regulator next month.

Dreitzer previously served as president of North America’s Ainsworth Game Technology Inc., Chief Operating Officer for BMM Americas, a Global Gaming Test Lab and Consultancy, and co -founder and Chief Operating Officer for G3, a gaming content company.

Dreitzer also served in a variety of compliance roles for Progressive Gaming International Corp., after his term as Deputy National Attorney in Nevada. As Deputy National Attorney, Dreitzer provided legal representation for the Nevada Gaming Commission and Control Board. Dreitzer received his basic degree from Cornell University and his law degree from Emory University.

From 2023, Transparent Nevada reported that the chairman of the board of directors received annual salary and benefits of $ 223,256.
