Chicago Bulls guard Ayo Dosunmu will undergo surgery on his left shoulder and miss the rest of the season, the team announced Sunday.

Dosunmu put out three matches due to left Axel subluxation before returning to collect 11 points and five returns in Chicagos 125-115 overtime victory over Toronto Raptors on Friday.

Kevin Huerter, acquired in the trade that sent Zach Lavine to Sacramento Kings last month, will probably see a play in playing time instead of Dosunmu, which on average is 12.3 points, 4.5 assists and 3.5 returns in 46 matches (26 starts) this season.

In his career, Dosunmu, 25, has an average of 10.2 points, 3.3 assists and 2.9 boards in 279 matches (154 starts) since he was elected by Bulls in the second round of the 2021 NBA draft from Illinois.
