Caesars Entertainment and partner Bragg Gaming develop online casino games in-house | Casinos & Games

Caesars Entertainment has extended an agreement with Toronto-based Bragg Gaming Group to enable Caesars to develop its own casino games on its iGaming platform.

Terms of the deal were not announced.

The new partnership elevates Bragg’s relationship with Caesars from a content provider to a technology partner.

This partnership is expected to help drive double-digit growth in both Bragg’s revenue and profitability through 2025, particularly in North America – a key strategic focus for Bragg’s expansion efforts in 2025. Additionally, the agreement will accelerate growth in Bragg’s exclusive content revenue, increasing a balanced and margin-enhancing product mix.

Bragg, in collaboration with Caesar’s newly formed in-house game studio team, will initially develop a number of online casino games for Caesar’s digital platforms. The partnership will also create a delivery platform for Caesars’ in-house gaming studio to build and distribute its own proprietary, custom game titles incorporating its intellectual property rights, catering to player preferences from Caesars Palace Online Casino, Horseshoe Online Casino and Caesars Sportsbook & Kasino.

As a long-time partner of Caesars, Bragg previously developed two highly successful exclusive titles — Lady Luck Casino Egyptian Magic and Boardwalk Slots Bankers & Cash — for Caesars Palace Online Casino and regularly delivers new online slots and casino games to Caesars’ digital platforms in New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania in the USA, as well as in Ontario in Canada.

Georgia sports games

A new poll conducted by the University of Georgia and the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce indicates that a majority of Georgia residents want to legalize sports betting in the state.

According to the survey, 63 percent of all voters want legalized sports betting, with 72.9 percent of men in favor of legalization. Women favor it with 54.2 percent and just under 24 percent of those questioned oppose legalization.

The survey of 800 registered voters in Georgia was conducted through telephone surveys with live interviews between December 14-19.

Georgia lawmakers have tried unsuccessfully to pass sports betting laws in recent sessions, and the 2025 session is scheduled to begin this week.

Macau projections

Macau’s top tourism leaders project between 38 million and 39 million visitors to Macau by 2025, which would take visitation close to pre-pandemic levels.

Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, head of the Macau government’s tourism office, said the forecast is based on a high volume of arrivals around Chinese New Year later this month.

China’s State Council declared the mainland public holiday this time to mark the Year of the Snake from January 28 to February 4.

In November, Macau’s government had forecast 36 million tourist arrivals for the year, which would equal 96.4 percent of the 39.4 million tourist arrivals in 2019.

Three Las Vegas companies – Las Vegas Sands Corp., Wynn Resorts Ltd. and MGM Resorts International – have a presence in Macau.

Regulatory issues

A critic of lax regulatory oversight says Nevada’s handling of cases involving Resorts World Las Vegas and MGM Resorts International will continue this year.

In a wide-ranging discussion with gambling analysts with Deutsche Bank, former regulator Richard Schuetz explained why gambling regulation is important.

Deutsche Bank analyst Carlo Santarelli issued a report to investors based on Schuetz’s comments.

“As he has done in his writing over the years, Mr. Schuetz expressed concern about the state of gambling regulatory bodies in the current environment,” the report said. “One might ask why it matters if regulators do their jobs, which, Mr. Schuetz noted, is that a strong government regulatory framework is critical to public confidence in the legitimacy and reliability of the product, whether it’s online or casino gaming, and maintain the appearance of proper regulation, thereby reducing the potential for federal intervention, somewhat more relevant in the online gaming universe today.

“Mr. Schuetz noted recent lawsuits and tribulations in Nevada, a story where he believes there is more to come before early April, as evidence of a troubled legislative environment.”
