2025 NFL Combine Week was full of Matthew Stafford Rumors, Starbucks confrontations and lack of participation in the field.
The best quarterback outlook Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders will not participate in exercises at Combine, even though they are in Indianapolis for meetings with teams. Before you go ahead and fool – it is quite understandable why they will not participate.
These two best views have nothing to win. They can only damage their draft of stock by participating. With tens of millions of dollars at stake, none of Ward or Sanders blame for having selected exercises. In the same way, when Ward decided to opt out of the other half of POP-Tarts Bowl to protect its draft of layers, no much increased an eyebrows.
And they are not the first players to skip. Andrew Luck never participated in Combine exercises, nor Joe Burrow. The list continues.
But this is not good news for Combine. The NFL tries to turn everything into a massive spectacle. The NFL draft jumps from city to city, and each NFL final game gives a huge financial boost to the city that is lucky enough to host them.
The combination has been in Indianapolis since 1987, but it is starting to lose some of its star power. The majority of players now realize that they do not need to participate. Instead, they can train at their university PRO day, where they can throw to recipients they are comfortable with, sleep in their own bed and know the coaches who surround them.
Players like Jaxson Dart and Will Howard will participate in Combine exercises on Saturday afternoon, and that is really what the event has become the opportunity for the middle of the round to increase its draft layer.
For the most part, film speaks to itself. Unless a player completely thoughts at the combine, it does not affect their draft grades. Although there will always be a need for Combine to gather medical information and meet future prospects, the event can never have the same star power as the NFL draft due to the lack of players’ participation.
While neither Ward nor Sanders will walk in the field, both media told them they think they are the best quarter hill in the class. It is up to the NFL decision makers to look at the band and decide which of them tells the truth, since the fans in Indianapolis will not be able to make that distinction for themselves.
