Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Dak Prescott said he is developing in his recovery from his seasonal hamstring injury.
So much so that Prescott said he could look up right now if needed.
“If I had to play a game today, I could definitely do it,” Prescott said on Friday on the 35th annual Gala Cancer Fund Gala. “It’s about moving forward well to make sure I can play 17 times, 20 (games) – whatever we come to when the right of time.”
Signed to a four-year, $ 240 million contract extension in September that made him the highest paid quarterbacken in the NFL story in terms of annual average value, Prescott played only eight matches before he got his seasonal injury.
With 11 touchdown passes and eight interceptions, Prescott was in line with one of his worst statistical seasons.
Prescott, 31, said Friday that he plans to participate in organized team activities in some capacity.
“I come close to where I want to be, I don’t want to put a percentage on it,” Prescott said. “I know we have team activities that come, imagine that I am involved in some kind if not all.
“Then I only understand my age, what I have had, what I have gone through, it’s about being my best in the fall. So I don’t rush anything, but I’m where I want to be.”
Prescott is a three-round Pro Bowl-Surval and owns a record of 76-46 in 122 career start since he was elected by Dallas in the fourth round of the NFL draft 2016. He has thrown 31 437 meters with 213 Touchdowns and 82 intercepts.
