In an exciting meeting that must be decided at extra time, Portugal secured his place in Nations League Final four with a hard -fought victory over Denmark. With their attractions on winning their third international trophy, Cristiano Ronaldo shared an uplifting reaction after the qualification.
Portugal entered the match that needed to turn a deficit of 1-0 from the first leg in Denmark. With a 5-2 total victory in extra time completed Ronaldo’s side comebackEarns a place in Final Four, which will be questioned in June.
The legendary forward played a key role in the comeback and scored an important goal in the 72nd minute. Ronaldo’s dialogue with Martinez raises concern
One of the more surprising moments of the match came in 90+1 minute when coach Roberto Martinez decided to replace Ronaldo for Gonçalo Ramos. The timing of substitution raised the eyebrows, as the match was bound, and extra time (and potentially penalties) were crowded, which meant that Ronaldo’s absence seems to be a significant blow.
However, the decision seemed to be predetermined. In the 86th minute, immediately after Francisco Trincao’s equalizer, Ronaldo approached his coach, and pictures showed him seemingly pointing to his right legpossibly signals discomfort or a potential injury.
