Cristiano Ronaldos Al Nassr is reportedly to cancel the hunt for Casemoir after Talisca’s departure

Since the start of winter transfer window, Al Nassr reportedly had the sights set on Cristiano Ronaldois in the past Real Madrid and Manchester United team-mate Casemoro. However, with Andersson Talisca approaching a move from the club, Al Nassr seems to change its focus and put a stop to the hunt for the Brazilian midfielder.

Casemoro has been fighting for playing time in Manchester United during Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-3 system. The arrival of the Portuguese Manager has seen the midfielder degraded to the bench, with only Six appearances and 11 cases as unused replacement. A move to Saudi Arabia seemed to be a perfect opportunity to rejuvenate Casemo’s career, but those hopes now seem to disappear.

According to the transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Al Nassr has started official calls to recruit Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface. Aston Villas John Duran Also considered as an alternative, although his transition sum is reportedly higher than the Nigerian forward.

In the meantime, Fenerbahce has announced an agreement with Al Nassr for the transition by Anderson Talisca. The Brazilian forward will fly to Istanbul to undergo a medical examination before completing his move. His departure leaves Al Nassr with an attacking weak, which forces the club to prioritize adding fire power to its attack instead of strengthening its midfield with Casemoro.

Why are Casemoro outside Al Nassr’s plans?

At the beginning of January, reports indicated that Al Nassr was willing to make Casemoro One of Saudi Pro League’s top-five highest paid players. But their focus on recruiting a new striker has actually excluded Casemoro, not because of economic restrictions but because of the restrictions of foreign players.

Saudi Pro League limits teams to 10 foreign players per team. After Talisca’s departure, Al Nassr currently has nine foreign players: Cristiano RonaldoThe Sadio ManeThe Marcelo BrozovicThe AngeloThe OctavioThe WesleyThe Aymeric LaporteThe Mohamed Simakanand Bento. Should Boniface join, the club would reach the maximum quota, which leaves no room for Casemoro unless another foreign player leaves.

With Talisca’s foreign player place expected to be filled by a new striker, Casemi’s chances of reuniting with Ronaldo on Al Nassr are small. Unless another foreign player leaves, the opportunity for the Brazilian midfielder seems to join the Saudi Pro League giants to be away from the table.
