Arizona Diamondbacks placed star other basseman Ketel Marte on the 10-day injured list Saturday due to a strained left hamstring.

Diamondbacks recalled colleague Infielder Tim Tawa from Triple-A Reno in the corresponding feature.

Marte was removed from Ariason’s game against Washington Nationals at the top of the first round of Friday after suffering from the injury while ending a double. He pulled up as he approached the second base and was replaced by Pinch Runner Garrett Hampson.
