The Philadelphia Eagles opened the exercise window on Thursday for the defensive end Brandon Graham and tight end CJ Uzomah.
Graham, a team captain in his 15th season with Eagles, was placed on damaged reserve on November 26 after tearing a triceps muscle for a week 12 victory against Los Angeles Rams.
Graham, 36, had kept the hope that he could return if Philadelphia went to the Super Bowl Lix, where the Eagles will meet the twice defeated champion Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans on February 9.
He told his WIP radio program on Monday that he takes things “one day at a time” before the Super Bowl LVII OMMATCHING.
“I’m just excited to be here, excited for this team, excited for this moment,” he said.
Graham is Eagles’ all the time leader with 206 games played and ranked as third in franchise history with 76.5 bags. He counted 3.5 bags, seven quarterback hits and 20 tackles in 11 matches (one start) this season.
He was one of the heroes in Philadelfia’s 41-33 victory against New England Patriots in Super Bowl Lii and recorded a strip bag Tom Brady late in the fourth quarter to help manage Franchiseen’s first Lombardi trophy.
Uzomah, 32, landed on IR on January 1 with an abdominal injury that suffered a week 17 victory over Dallas Cowboys. He played in seven games for Eagles this season but did not take a pass.
Uzomah has 192 receptions for 1,881 meters and 16 touchdowns in 113 matches (85 starts) for Cincinnati Bengals (2015-21), New York Jets (2022-23) and Eagles.
The Eagles also made a move with their exercise group on Thursday, signed Springer Back Lew Nichols and released closely Nick Muse.
