Provide Lonnie Walker IV Credit to repeatedly look for a positive in an otherwise negative season for the Philadelphia 76ers.
With losses in 12 matches in a row and in 27 of the last 30, 76ers (23-56) will try to stop the glide on Wednesday evening when they visit Wizards (17-62) in Washington, DC
“We just want to end the season as strong as we can,” said Walker Per Philadelphia Inquirer. “There really is no rhyme or reason for what we do and things of that kind as far as” do we want to lose? “No. You know, we all come in every day with the intention to win.
“Everyone is still approaching the next day as if we still have 82 games left.”
Thankfully, the 76th century has only three matches left – and Wednesday’s competition will highlight their last road competition. They will end the season at home against Atlanta Hawks (Friday) and Chicago Bulls (Sunday).
“We have a large group of guys who consistently put into work until we have no time left,” Walker said. “I think we treat every day and every game as it is our last game.”
Walker matched a career high with six 3 points and joined Quentin Grimes in getting 29 points per piece on Monday in 76ers’ 117-105 setback to Miami Heat.
Grimes, on average, have 26.8 points in four matches this month but is listed as doubtful against the magicians due to tenderness.
Rookie Adem Bona collected 16 points and 11 returns for the 76th century on Monday.
“The results do not go our way,” he said according to the requester. “That doesn’t mean we’re not trying. But we give our best out there and build against next year.”
Included in Filadelfia’s 12-game’s losing row is a setback of 119-114 at home to Washington on March 26. The sorcerers got 45 points during the first quarter of that game on their way to the evening season series at a victory.
Like 76ers, Washington is striving to see positive this season – but there are some.
The Eastern Conference Cellar-Dwelling Wizards lost its third straight game and 11th in the last 13 excursions with a setback of 104-98 to Indiana Pacers on Tuesday.
Justin Champagnie recorded 20 points and 13 returns and beginner Alex Sarr had 20 and 12 respectively.
Sarr, No. 2 Overall choice of 2024 NBA draft, made his thoughts known that his name would be included when discussing potential beginners of this year’s candidates.
“I definitely belong to that conversation,” the 19-year-old told The Washington Post. “It’s not up to me. Everything is out there: the games and statistics. We’ll see what happens in the end. I have constantly improved through the season, and I finish strongly and try to continue to build that speed.”
Sarr was on average one robust 16.4 points per match last month. This route included a 24-point performance of 10-AV-17 shooting from the floor-and 4-7 from 3-point interval-to Philadelphia on March 26.
