Resorts World Las Vegas adds another high -profile name to its recently created board.
Former Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval has been appointed as the Board, announced Strip Casino on Wednesday. Sandoval, 61, is the fifth member of the casino’s emerging board, which began its monitoring of the property in December.

In a statement that announced the appointment, Resorts World said that Sandoval’s “excellent career in public service, combined with his deep understanding of Nevada’s game landscape, will provide invaluable expertise to the organization.”

The embedded $ 4.3 billion megare resort at the northern end of the strip is trying to go beyond previous organizational mistakes that have negatively affected the property, including a very published dismissal with its former top manager and the unresolved legislative objection for alleged anti-money wash.
The formation of the Board and the appointment of a new CEO are obvious measures taken against the target of the property’s ownership, Malaysia-based Genting Berhad.
Alex Dixon, the new CEO of Resorts World Las Vegas, said that Sandoval’s appointment to the Board “speeds up the property’s growth strategy.”

Resorts World Las Vegas Board of Directors is chairman of Jim Murren, the former CEO and the Chairman of the Board of MGM Resorts International. Other board members include AG Burnett, former chairman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board and player lawyer; Michelle Ditondo, a veteran human resources manager who worked at MGM and Caesars Entertainment; And Kong Han Tan, Genting President and Chief Manager.
