I went to the referee’s dressing room after the match. The fourth official was there, a Turkish judge, but I thanked Vincic for coming. He was responsible for a big match. I turned to him (the fourth official) And told him that if he had been the referee the match would have been a disaster. And when I say “him” I mean the general standard for judges“Said Mourinho, dealing with the poor level of reference in Turkey.

If they really want to be an example of masters and show how good they are, they should request foreign judges for each match. But when foreign judges come in UEFA competitions they go home. Against us at home, they had a shot on goal. If they believe in themselves, they should ask the Federation to assign foreign judges every match.

And again I have to thank the judge too with a Turkish judge, after the big dive in the first minute, and their bench jumping like monkeys on top of the kids… With a Turkish judge you would have a yellow card after a minute, and after five minutes I have to change it. Thankfully it was a perfect experience with him“Said Mourinho.

After hearing these comments, Galatasaray took action and provided an official complaint to UEFA and FIFAprompts disciplinary action against Mourinho.
