Notes: Scheffler was the first player to successfully defend his title on the players last year. His 64 on Sunday matched the lowest closing score in the tournament story. Jack Nicklaus (1974, ’76, ’78) is the only three times the winner of the event. Steve Stricker is the last player who won the same event three years in a row (John Deere Classic/2009-11). … Each of the last five winners has come in this week in the top 10 of the official world gol. … The field includes 48 of the 50 best players in Owgr, and 25 players who will make their debut on the players, including eight beginners. … Adam Scott will make his 23rd performance in the event, most of all players in the field. … the players have not been decided by a playoffs since Rickie Fowler beat Kevin Kisner and Sergio Garcia in 2015. Laurie Canter is the first previous Life Golf player who competed on the players, after qualifying more than a year after his latest life event. … Former Liv Golf CEO and current board member Greg Norman has the tournament record of 264 which was set in 1994. Tom Hoge has the 18-hole record of 62, which was set in the third round two years ago.

Best bets: Scottie Scheffler (+400 at Draftkings) was pleased with his ball-leaning last week but said he was fighting on the rock hard Bay Hill Greens. This is his fifth start since he returned from a hand injury. … Rory Mcilroy (+1000) was satisfied with a T15 last week but already has a victory this year at Pebble Beach. He won the players in 2019 but does not have a top-10 in the event since. … Collin Morikawa (+1400) continues to knock on the door of his first victory since 2023, with his solo second last week his tour high fourth over the past two years. … (Ludvig Aberg (+1600) comes from a disappointing T22 after his victory on Genesis, but lives in Ponte Vedra Beach and is extremely familiar with the course. … Justin Thomas (+2200), like Morikawa, trying to snap a long victory that goes to 2022. T22 in its last 13 worldwide starts, but is still looking for its first victory in the United States better, including fourth at Bay Hill.

He will replace damaged iron heads GC player Jinichiro Kozuma this week. Catlin competed in six Life Golf events last year, including as part of the winning Smash GC team at Greenbrier.
