Gotham FC Captain and USWNT defender Tier Davidson will miss the rest of the season with a broken left ACL.
Davidson, 26, was injured during last Friday’s 0-0 draw with the hoston Dash host, Gotham FC announced Wednesday.
“We are heartbroken for the ties,” said Gotham FC manager Yael Averbuch West. “Our club will do everything we can to support her through this recovery and rehabilitation process. We know she will be back stronger than ever.”
Davidson joined Gotham FC for the 2024 season and had appeared in 22 games and started each of the first three races this season. She played for Chicago Red Stars from 2019-23.
Davidson won an NCAA’s national championship with Stanford 2017, a FIFA Women’s World Cup with USA 2019 and a Gold medal with Summer -Sos 2024. She has earned 65 mice with the national team.
