Miami Heat will look to snap a seasonal-binding four-game that loses the line on Wednesday evening against the visiting Los Angeles Clippers.
All four losses have come with five points or less, but the heat coach Erik Spoelstra is still safe.
“We have a tough minded group, and that’s what we need right now,” he said. “Even as a veteran trainer, you realize how tough it is to win in this league. We just have to stay together and figure it out.”
The heat has satisfied itself with a starting lineup by point guard Davion Mitchell, Combo guard Tyler Herro, the little forward Andrew Wiggins, Power forward Bam Adebayo and Rookie Center Kel’el Ware.
Herro leads the heat with averages of 23.8 points and 5.7 assists per match. Adebayo (17.8 ppg) rose Miami in returns (10 per match). During his last 19 matches, he is an average of 23 points and 10.2 boards.
Wiggins, who has played only eight matches for Miami since he was acquired as part of Jimmy Butler trading, is on average 18.5 points with Heat.
Mitchell, in 13 matches since he is also acquired in Butler trading, shoots 45 percent on 3-score. He is an average of 9.1 points and 5.1 assists.
Ware is an average of 8.5 points, 6.5 returns and a team high 1.1 blocks. He also leads the team in field target percentage (53.7).
Miami’s key reserve is Duncan Robinson, who has a line of eight matches in double numbers.
At the same time, Clippers started a three-game road trip with a loss of 127-120 against New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday evening.
The loss snapped a victory with three games for Clippers.
Los Angeles became a victim of a vintage performance of injured Pelicans star Zion Williamson, who had 22 points, 12 assists and 10 returns.
Clippers got a game high 29 points from Kawhi Leonard. James Harden added 25 points and a gaming heap 17 assists and 7-foot foot Ivica Zubac added 19 points and a match-high 11 returns.
For the season, Zubac is an average of 16 points and a team high 12.5 returns a game.
In addition to that trio, the Clippers have a certain Miami feeling because Brian Shaw is the interim coach and Derrick Jones Jr. is a key reserve. Both are former Heat players.
Shaw has run the team in the last two games as head coach Tyronn Lue has been out due to back pain.
Jones, an explosive LEAPER, is on average 10.4 points a game. Harden, 35, has a revival season, on average 22.2. It is a six -point improvement from last season.
During the last five games, Hardden is an average of 30.4 points, 11 assists and 5.2 returns while shooting 64.9 percent from the floor.
However, Leonard, 33, has played in only 23 matches due to injuries. When he is healthy, he is an average of 18.5 points.
“When the time is needed,” Hardden said of Leonard, “he rises and makes big pictures.”
The big surprise for Clippers this season has been 6-3 shooting Norman Powell, which is on average 23.5 points, which is 10 points per match more than he set up last season. He also got 41 points in a game against Utah last month.
