Wynn Board

Wynn Resorts Ltd. announced the nomination of Anthony Sanfilippo to the company’s board. Shareholders will vote for the nomination at the annual meeting, which will be held on April 30.

Sanfilippo, the former chairman and the CEO of Pinnacle Entertainment, would fill a vacant place created through the departure of Margaret “Dee Dee” Myers, who decided not to seek re -election for the board. Myers has been a member of the Board since 2018.

In a press release, Las Vegas-based Wynn Sanfilippo characterized as “an experienced CEO in the hospitality and gaming industry that provides more than 35 years of experience and operational expertise” to the board.

“After a record year at Wynn Resorts-Both financially and operational and with strong stability within our business, we focus on our growth and diversification around the world to drive long-term value, said Philip G. Satre, chairman of Wynn’s board. “Our nomination and corporate governance committee could not have found an individual who is better suited to strengthen our board’s expertise when we implement our strategy – Anthony experience in hospitality and the gaming industry is unsurpassed. I had the great pleasure to work with him for many years and is sure that he will have a significant impact on our board.”

More litigation?

An analyst for the gaming industry believes that the legal struggle between aristocrat leisure and Las Vegas-based Light & Wonder can continue to pull.

In a Friday note to investors, Chad Beynon from Macquerie said that Light & Wonder’s Jewel of the Dragon Game may be subject to the same legal dispute as Dragon Train, submitted by Aristocrat in June.

“We linked to the LNW leadership today and our conversation indicates that Jewel of the Dragon is only a fraction of the size of the Dragon Train fleet and the management expects no material impact financially,” Beynon said in its report after seeing Light & Wonder shares in autumn 11 percent.

Last fall, the judge of the Court of Justice ordered Gloria Navarro Light & Wonder to take 2,200 Dragon Train Train tracking machines from the market because their appearance was considered to be similar to Aristocrat’s Dragon Link and Lightning Link game.

Light & Wonder convinced casinos that had their machines to replace other light and sub-products instead.
