Budget -conscious visitors tend to move towards the center of Las Vegas when they want to get their entertainment dollars to extend a little further. Compared to the larger and flasher casinos on the strip, gaming associations and hotels in the center offer a unique Vegas experience and can very often do so for a fraction of the cost.
However, there is one thing that almost every Las Vegas hotel has in common – resort fees. With just a few exceptions, Las Vegas hotel operators take a nightly resort fee that covers a wide range of amenities, specifically for the property, which can range from pool access to bottled water to free airline passes.
Out of the dozen casino notes on or near Fremont Street in central Las Vegas, all except two-hotel Apache (Binion’s gaming hall and hotels) and four Queens Hotel Casino-en resort fee.
Casinos in Vegas routinely renounce resort fees for large players or for players with a center to high level casino loyalty cards. Sometimes only ask at the reception when you check out cause resort fees to be removed from the final bill.
The Federal Trade Commission requires hotels to reveal resort fees over. Contrary to various reports, the recently implemented FTC rules do not prohibit resort fees.
Most casino notes in central Las Vegas have shown resort fees in their advertised prices for some time.
