Jordan Spieth: ‘All systems go’ in return from wrist injury

Jordan Spieth said he is excited to be back to play golf and that it is “all systems go” on his surgically repaired wrist as he prepares to make his season as a debut Thursday at Pebble Beach.

Spieth commented on Wednesday before AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Spieth underwent surgery on his left wrist in August after first ceased the damage in 2023. The teeing of Thursday will highlight his first competitive golf since he competed in FedEx St. Jude Classic at TPC Southwind in Memphis August 15-18.

“Yes, things feel really good. I am very happy with how everything is gone. I wake up, it is a bit tight still after using it a lot in recent weeks to try to get ready, but there is nothing that can do all the injuries Further.

Spieth said he originally planned to return before this week but had not come to the representatives he considered necessary to deduct it.

Pebble Beach “would always be a good place to start, and I got a couple of fantastic advice before and during recovery and one of them was that no one ever comes back late from an operation,” Spieth told reporters. “So I took it to my heart. As much as I just wanted to get out there, I’m glad I’ve been waiting for here.”

He added that “ideally” he will not “think about” the wrist at all this week.

“It may take a little while, I’m not sure, but it’s all the systems that go now and I’m happy to be back. I don’t feel like I missed much because I think I just missed – I might be missing one or two Events that I would have played in anyway.

Spieth has three big winnings and 13 total victories on the PGA tour, but none since the RBC heritage in April 2022. He started the 2024 season with a third place on Sentry and bound for sixth at WM Phoenix Open, but he only had another Top-10 for the rest of the year while he lacked seven cuts.
