Southern California Sophomore guard Juju Watkins and Uconn Senior Guard Paige Bueckers is the head of the list of finalists for 2025 John Wood Award who goes to women’s college basketball’s most prominent players, Los Angeles Athletic Club announced on Tuesday evening.
UCLA Junior Center Lauren Betts, Texas Sophomore forward Madison Booker and Notre Dame Sophomore guard Hannah Hidalgo has also been named finalists in wood prices. The quintet has also served places on the 10-person Troe-America team.
Watkins, who has already earned the Associated Press Player of the Year Award, was an average of 23.9 points, 6.8 returns and 3.4 assists before struggling the front Cruciate ligament in her right knee during the second round of the NCA.
Bueckers, who won 2021 wood prices as a beginner, gives 20.1 points, 4.8 assists and 4.4 returns for a Uconn squad that plays UCLA on Friday in the second last four semi -finals in Tampa, FLA.
Betts has led UCLA to its first final Four with 20.0 points, 9.6 returns and 3.0 blocks per match. Booker Paces Final Four-bound Texas with 16.5 points, 6.8 returns, 2.8 assists and 1.6 steals.
Hidalgo averaged 23.8 points, 5.0 returns, 3.7 Steals and 3.6 assists per match for fighting Irish.
Kentuckys Georgia Amoore, Florida State Taesah Morrow and TCU’s Hailey van Lithson, LSU’s Aneesah Morrow and TCU’s Hailey van Lithson, LSU’s Aneesah Morow and TCU’s Hailey van Lith.
Latson led the nation with 25.2 points per match while Morrow did all Rebounders with 13.5 per match.
