Karmine Corp swept Ultimates 4-0 on Sunday in the best-by-seven Grand Final in the Rocket League Championship series 2025 Birmingham Major in Birmingham, England.
It was a dominant day for Karmine Corp, who had swept the Furia 4-0 in the semi-finals earlier Sunday before they met the ultimates, which had edged NRG 4-3 in the second semi-final.
Karmine Corps Samy “Dralii” Hajii from Morocco was elected MVP. The winning team collected $ 102,000 and 30 RLCS points, while second place was awarded $ 51,000 and 20 points.
The grand finale started with Karmine Corps 2-1 Overtime victory at Mannfield (night), then a 3-1 result in forbidden temple. After a timeout, Karmine DFH Stadium 2-1 and Utopia Coliseum (dusk) claimed 1-0.
It was a similar path as success in the semi-finals against Furia, as Karmine won 1-0 at Mannfield (night), 4-1 at Forbidden Temple, 3-2 at DFH Stadium and 2-0 at Utopia Coliseum (Dusk).
The ultimates had to rally to get past NRG, which had won Mannfield (night) 2-1. The ultimate claimed the banned temple and DFH Stadium, both with 2-1 points in overtime. NRG continued with a 2-1 victory at Utopia Coliseum (dusk) and a 1-0 result at Aquadome (Salt-Glow).
The best of seven belonged to Ultimates, who won 2-1 at Neo Tokyo and 1-0 on the Champions Field.
Earlier Sunday in the lower Bracket quarter finals, the Furia Team Vitality 4-3 and NRG defeated Team Falcons 4-3.
The $ 351,000 tournament started with 16 teams in a Swiss system format with best-of-five matches on Thursday and Friday. The eight best teams advanced to the playoffs Saturday and Sunday. The top four of the Swiss scene started with two chances before the semi-finals, while teams ranked 5-8 started with a chance. All the playoffs were the best of seven.
