Kevin Durant delivers 42 points when Suns takes down Cavaliers

Kevin Durant scored 42 points, including a 3-pointer in the clutch that helped to spin out a late Cleveland-Rally, when worth Phoenix Suns made his third straight victory with a 123-112 defeat by Cavaliers on Friday.

Durant’s 3-pointer with 70 seconds left in regulation came when Cleveland (56-14) threatened after releasing as many as 21 points.

Phoenix (34-37) led for much of the first half and then used an 18-9 point advantage that extended over almost seven minutes of the third quarter to build a significant pillow. However, Cavaliers-which tries to avoid their first four-game losing streak during the season-the gap to seven points by two minutes to go during the fourth quarter.

Devin Booker responded to a pair of Donovan Mitchell-Freest and beat an intermediate jumper at the other end to drive Suns leads back to nine points. Booker then recovered a missed Evan Mobley 3-point attempt, and after drawing a double team, you whipped a transverse pass to a wide open Durant.

Durant swung the pure look, part of his 4-of-9 performance shooting beyond the 3-point short. Booker drew another assist to complete a double double with 10, find Oso Ighodaro for an exclamation mark.

Ighodaros Flush finished one night where he got six points, took 13 returns and recorded a gaming pile Plus-15 Plus-Minus rating of more than 40 minutes on the track.

Phoenix had a well -rounded performance overall, with Booker who scored 17 points and Collin Gillespie adds 13. Royce O’Neale came from the bench for 15 points and Tyus Jones set up another 16 in reserve service.

Darius Garland led Cleveland with 18 points, De’andre Hunter made 17 from the bench, and Mobley registered a double double with 16 points and 12 returns. Mitchell shot a gloomy 2-AV-18 from the floor, including 0-of-8 from the 3-point area, and ended with seven points.
