Kyle Connor got the winner in overtime when Winnipeg Jets exceeded the values Edmonton Oilers on Thursday evening 4-3.
Josh Morrissey had a goal and an assist. Cole Perfetti and Brandon Tanev also did. Dylan Samberg, Nikolaj Ehlers, Nino Niederreites, Morgan Barron, Alex Iafallo, Hadyn Fleury and Mark Scheifele had assists. Connor Hellebuyck made 21 rescues.
Oilers Jeff Skinner did twice, while Zach Hyman also scored. Darnell Nurse registered two assists, while Connor McDavid and Jake Walman each had a helper. Stuart Skinner made 13 rescues but was replaced by Calvin Pickard with 4:57 left in the third due to injury. Pickard stopped three shots.
Oilers (40-24-5, 85 points) scored 5:28 at the first period to open the score when Jeff Skinner shot on goal from long reach.
Winnipeg (48-18-4, 100 points) responded with Perfetti evening the score of 1-1 after he collected a long rebound and scored with 6:21 left in the first sentence.
Jeff Skinner got his second goal in the game to make it 2-1 at the mark 14:30 after his Whiffed shot went past Hellebuyck. Jets challenged for goals for goalkeeper, but it was after review.
After the failed challenge, the Jets went on the penalty death serving by Niederreites. After leaving the penalty box, Niederreiter sent a saucer to Morrissey, which tipped the puck to bind the game at 2-2 with 7:41 left in the second period.
McDavid suffered a lower bodily injury during the second period and did not return to the third.
Jets took his first lead in the game when Tanev scored and cleaned up his own rebound 3:56 into the third period, which made it 3-2.
The tight back and forth continued as Hyman buried the puck from Hellebuyck and into the net with 5:34 left in the game to restore tie, this time at 3-3.
If overtime, Connor needs a wrist shot in the network 1:13 in the extra frame to seal the 4-3 victory for Winnipeg.
