Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority Projects 4% Reduction in number of Super Bowl Weekend Visitors | Super Bowl | Sports

There will be no visitor records in Las Vegas for the Super Bowl weekend this year.

In what could be one of the tough tough comparisons with 2024, the Las Vegas Congress and the Visitor Authority projected on Thursday 316,000 people would visit this weekend, a decline of 4 percent from a year ago when the city hosted the Super Bowl 58.

LVCVA did not give any estimates of economic effects.

Football fans for several years have crowded the city for Super Bowl Sunday to invest in the game and the long list of proposals associated with it. There was a glimpse of hope for a great turnout when the American Gaming Association earlier this week predicted a record $ 1.39 billion was to be invested in the National Football League championship between Philadelphia Eagles and the defending champion Kanas City Chiefs in New Orleans.

“No single event combines sports fans as the Super Bowl, and that tension extends to sports games, with this year’s record team handle that reflects its widespread appeal,” says Bill Miller, AGA’s President and CEO. “This figure emphasizes the positive impact of the legal market – from protecting consumers to generating tax revenue that benefits communities across the country – while improving the gaming experience for everyone.”

While LVCVA’s projection for a lighter audience this year was expected, the organization that markets Las Vegas to the world was that southern Nevada resorts can actually be more crowded this year, with an 87 percent coating rate. This is 0.1 percentage points higher than 2024 and is a result of two major resorts, Mirage and Tropicana, which was closed last year, which reduced the number of available rooms by 3.7 percent to 150,419.

While LVCVA projected weekend visits, it does not distinguish how many people come to look at Super Bowl and participate in viewing parties and how many are here for other reasons. The Las Vegas Convention calendar is easy the day after the match, with three small fairs that open their doors under or shortly after the Super Bowl Sunday. The largest of these events is the Champs Winter fair, a counter -culture equipment that is expected to bring 15,000 people to the Las Vegas Convention Center’s South Hall from Wednesday.

Smaller trade shows are also scheduled to start Monday at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center and Aria.

The Super Bowl Weekend coating rate usually floats in the high 80s or low of the 90’s percentage.

There was an indication earlier this week that the Super Bowl visit would not be as robust as in previous years when they examined the records examined hotel prices and decided that the average cost of a room was well below 2024 levels.

Another wild card in the calculation is about the Southern California’s inhabitants-las Vega’s largest market with about a third of its visitors who come from there will be willing to make the trip to the city so fast after a series of fire fires destroyed thousands of homes over the Los Angeles pool in January.

This is a developing story. Come back for updates.
